The long day begins

Work and school before we leave.

Actually the day began at 6am when Miss Jennifer awoke. Jeff took Amanda to school and went to work. Mom got Justin on the bus, and Grandma came to pick up Jenn for a while, so Mom could pack. We programmed the blog address into Crystals fancy new Blackberry and set up Amanda's phone too. I hope both ladies will contribute often to this years running diary.

This day is a long stretch to think about. We've got roughly 1,600 miles to go before the next time we go to bed. Really looking forward to getting there, and the trip, as daunting as it is, is still kind of exciting to take on.

Of course nothing is as exciting as the thought of a nap on the beach in the near future....
