...now a trip to the market then right to the beach! Woo hoo! Everyone is excited!

Arrival in Sarasota 8:00am.
So... Even with DC traffic and our flat tire experience we did the trip in 24hrs 45mins. Now, some breakfast and a nap by the pool!

10:54pm Truck full and ready to roll. Bags stuffed with summer clothes and reading material. Feels good to be ready to start this vacation.

It's been 3 years since the last road trip to Florida. The last two years weren't in the cards but this year... We're back.
New truck. Just the two Js and us. Sarasota here we come.
Today is the last day of prep, work and chores. Tomorrow morning were off.

Nice drive through the mountains. Too bad we lost light as we came across from tenn.

Harrisonburg va. Breaks in the clouds. Nice views of Shannedoah nat park as we dodge trucks.

Gas stop. Frustrating. Had to double back for a station with power. Lost probably a half hour.

Tappan Zee Bridge. Some blue sky and sun peeking through.

Second stop. P break in southport ct. Sun up now, still some passing showers as we go. Making decent time. Hopeful for the weekend, Amanda and the team.

Departed on schedule. 5:30am. First stop dd & top off tank.

The palm tree made it safely to its new home.
